Access control
Card, mobile and biometric access across every door and gate, with a permission map you actually understand.
Card & mobile · ANPR gates · Named permissions

Audio and video intercom from the gate to the unit, tied into access control — so the call, the picture and the door release are one system.
Design · Supply · Install · Integrate · Maintain
Intercom is where residents and visitors meet the security system. A courier at the compound gate, a guest at a villa door, a delivery at a hotel service entrance — each needs to be seen, spoken to and, when appropriate, let in. And each interaction should be recorded.
Modern intercom runs on IP. That makes the door station a camera and a reader as well as a bell, lets residents answer from a phone anywhere, and means the concierge or security office can see every entrance from one desk.
We design intercom alongside access control from the start, so the door station, the credential reader and the lock release are specified together, and the resident's app opens the gate as easily as it answers the call.

At a glance
See and speak to the visitor before the door opens.
A screen in the unit for answering, viewing and releasing.
Take the call and open the door from a phone, at home or away.
One desk that sees every entrance and manages every call.
Directory, unit calling and per-unit permissions for apartment buildings.
The door station reads credentials and releases the lock through the access system.
Who called, when, and a picture with each event.
Release the lift floor or the vehicle gate for a verified visitor.
Temporary PINs and QR codes for guests, deliveries and contractors.
SIP-based systems that link to CCTV, access and building systems.
Every project is composed from a small number of well-understood parts. These are the ones that matter for this discipline.
Villa door stations
A single-button station with camera and reader.
Multi-button stations
A button per unit for small buildings.
Directory stations
Touch-screen search and calling for apartment blocks.
Vehicle gate stations
Mounted at driver height with a wide-angle camera.
Vandal-resistant stations
For public and exposed positions.
Emergency & help points
One-touch calling in car parks and lifts.
Indoor monitors
Wall-mounted screens in the unit.
Mobile apps
Answering and release from a phone.
Concierge stations
A desk console that handles every entrance.
IP telephony handsets
Answering on the office phone system.
IP intercom servers
Call routing, directories and logging.
Two-wire to IP conversion
Upgrading existing analogue wiring.
PoE switches
Power and data to every station.
Door release & access integration
Locks, controllers and the access platform.
Routing calls through a server rather than point to point is what lets a call reach the unit, the phone and the concierge at once, and be logged.
Door station
The visitor calls; the camera captures; a reader is available
Network
IP call and video over PoE
Intercom server
Routes the call to monitor, phone or concierge
Resident / concierge
Sees, speaks, decides
Access control
The release is issued and logged
Door / gate
The lock or the gate opens
Safe & Sound carries every discipline, so this system is designed from day one to talk to the others on the project.
Access control
The door station's reader and the release are managed by the access system, so one permission map covers both.
CCTV
Door-station video is recorded with the site's other cameras, and nearby cameras appear with each call.
Turnstiles & barriers
Vehicle gate stations release the barrier for verified visitors.
Smart home & KNX
Calls appear on the home interface; the door and the lighting scene respond together.
Command rooms
Every entrance and every call visible from the security office.
A typical sequence
The driver presses the unit's button on the directory station.
The resident answers on their phone from the office and sees the driver and the vehicle.
They release the pedestrian gate; the event, the snapshot and the release are logged.
The concierge sees the same call and can step in if no one answers.
Intercom is essential wherever entry is decided by the people inside: residential compounds, villas, apartment buildings, corporate receptions, hospitals with controlled wards and schools with a single controlled entrance.
A deliberately narrow stack, supplied through authorised channels only. The final selection is made per project, against the specification and the budget.

For intercom we work with Hikvision and Dahua IP video intercom, Axis network door stations, and ZKTeco where the project specifies it — each integrated with the access platform on the project.
Entrance-by-entrance schedule, call flow and answering policy, door station and monitor selection, integration with access and CCTV, network and power design, and a resident app onboarding plan.
Door stations, monitors, servers and switches from authorised channels, serial-registered, with directories prepared before commissioning.
Stations fitted with the joinery and gate contractors, monitors installed unit by unit, the server configured and every call path tested, and releases proven through the access system.
Station and unit schedule, as-built drawings, directory export, resident and concierge guides, and a lifecycle plan.
Scheduled testing of every station and call path, camera and audio checks, directory housekeeping and software updates.
We stay involved after handover. Every system leaves us with a maintenance path, a named point of contact and a report you can read.
An intercom that rings but does not open, or opens but does not record, undermines the whole entrance. We test every station and every path on schedule.
